DreamLog AI Privacy Policy

DreamLog AI (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an AI dream journal app developed and operated by Sanva, an independent developer (sanva.tk). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you sign in with Apple, we receive only the Apple-assigned User ID and, if you choose to share it, your email address. We do not require your real name or phone number.
1.2 Dream Records and Mood Data
Dream entries you record (text, transcribed voice, mood tags, and timestamps) are stored in our database, linked to your account, and used to power AI interpretation, long-term pattern analysis, and history features.
1.3 Voice Recording and AI Transcription
When you use voice input, your recording is sent over an encrypted connection through our secure gateway to OpenAI Whisper for transcription. Voice files are not retained after the transcription request is fulfilled. We do not keep audio copies for model training, and we do not sell them to third parties. Transcribed text is archived only after you confirm and save it.
1.4 AI Dream Interpretation
When you request an AI interpretation, a summary of your dream entry is sent over an encrypted connection through our secure gateway to OpenAI for processing. Query content is not retained after the interpretation is generated. We do not use it for model training and do not sell it to third parties.
1.5 Subscription Status
RevenueCat manages your Pro subscription entitlement (dreamlog_pro_monthly / dreamlog_pro_yearly). We store only a boolean “is Pro” flag. We never hold your payment instrument — all payment processing is handled directly by Apple.
1.6 Usage Metadata
We log essential call metadata (request timestamp, error code, subscription status) to improve service quality. This does not include dream entry content or AI interpretation text.
2. How We Use Information
Your information is used solely to:
- Provide dream recording, voice transcription, AI multi-style interpretation, and long-term pattern analysis features
- Maintain your dream journal and mood history
- Manage your subscription entitlement
- Process account deletion and data cleanup requests
- Debug service errors (error logs are auto-purged after 24 hours)
We do not use your personal information for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it for any purpose unrelated to operating this app.
3. AI Calls and Data Routing
The app’s AI features (dream interpretation, voice transcription, pattern analysis) are processed by OpenAI (GPT models and Whisper). Your dream content is forwarded to OpenAI through our secure encrypted gateway only after you enable the AI feature. Data is processed per OpenAI’s privacy policy, is not used for model training, and session-level logs are retained for no longer than 30 days. You can disable AI data sharing at any time in Settings → AI Data Sharing.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored in a Supabase-hosted secure cloud database with row-level security — each user’s data is fully isolated
- All transmission uses TLS encryption
- Voice recordings and AI query content are cleared from our gateway upon completion of the request and are not used for model training
5. Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from App → Settings → Delete Account and Data. After you confirm:
- All dream records, mood data, and AI interpretation history are cascade-deleted immediately
- Authentication records (Supabase auth) are permanently purged from our servers within 7 days
- Your active subscription is managed by Apple/RevenueCat — deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription; manage that in App Store Settings

We do not use any third-party advertising SDK or cross-site tracking tools.
7. Children’s Privacy
DreamLog AI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us for immediate deletion.
8. Changes to This Policy
For material changes to this policy, we will send an in-app notification and update the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
